Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with P.E. to work on a variety of projects in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. Candidates should have 5 or more years of combined experience in construction observation and testing and geotechnical explorations related to the following areas:
Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing
Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
Calculations of bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability
The person in this role would assist in reviewing, making recommendations and signing off on geotechnical reports as well as assisting with other COT and environmental work.
Requirements:
BS Degree in civil engineering; geotechnical concentration a plus
Professional Engineer (P.E.) required
geotechnical experience at an engineering or environmental firm
Prior construction or Builders Services experience a plus
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
