BILHCC Londonderry Medical Specialties
Day (United States of America) Coordinates the total nursing care plans for patients in outpatient/ambulatory medical specialties. Works with the Program Director to provide supervision and training of other nurses and staff within the department.

Essential Role Responsibilities including but not limited to:
•Works under the direction of the Program Director and Medical Director to oversee, manage, and train nurses and other staff within the department.
•Ensures that staff adhere to the departmental Standards of Care as well as Northeast Hospitals' Policies and Procedures.
•Serves as clinical resource in delivery of patient care
•Promotes collaboration among staff, medical and administrative colleagues
•Promotes learning and team building environment
•Educates patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
•Communicates with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding care
•Conducts departmental in-services for continuing education.
•Assesses the patient's condition; sets goals; prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of the patient, including discharge planning.
•Coordinates and/or performs physician ordered patient care following established guidelines and algorhythms.
•Directs and evaluates nursing care provided by others to patients in the Center.
•Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients.
•Attends departmental meetings and participates in hospital committees as requested.
•Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Education/Experience:
•BSN required.
•Minimum of 2 years management experience
Certification/License:
•Current R.N. license; BSN required
•Current B.L.S.
