NSS is Hiring a Sr. System Administrator (TS/SCI clearance required) Near Reston, VA
- Administer, manage, and maintain Windows servers 2016 and 2019
- Responsible for Windows Server patching in an operational environment
- Experience with one or more of the following: Domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS servers, DHCP and Group Policy Object
- Create, manage, and maintain accounts and groups in Active Directory, LDAP
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Monitors system environments and resources
- Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve, and documents problems with business applications and hardware on all enclaves
- Oversees system recovery mechanisms
- Exhibit the capability to resolve issues independently
- Coordinate, communicate, escalate required changes, and major issues
- Help diagnose and resolve computer-related problems as requested by employees and contractors, either in person or by using remote control software
- Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support
- Bachelor’s degree (May be substituted for additional years of experience)
- MUST have prior experience with Linux
- 10 years in systems administration; Improving system operations and functionality, monitoring, and optimization of servers and workstations
- Active DoD TS/SCI is required to start
