Our work depends on a Senior Financial Analyst joining our team to perform specialized financial, accounting and planning activities following general project or departmental guidelines, procedures in support of various functions such as budgeting, auditing and financial planning. HOW THIS SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis Collects and reviews financial data from various sources Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required Analyzes assigned contracts' projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals Maintains appropriate records and documentation Supports assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested Makes recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of the organization Provide financial inputs and participate in PMR's as required Develops budgets for assigned contracts and tracks performance to budgets Participates in the preparation of cost proposals Conducts audits and analysis of their organization's direct and indirect costs, and reviews their practices and procedures, ensuring that labor and non-labor charges are approved, allowable, and processed in a timely manner May have risk identification and recovery responsibilities Develop and maintain EAC's as required Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, SOX and other government regulations May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree, 9 years of relevant experience required. Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite Required Skills: Experience in Government Contracting; Forecasting skills with the ability to understand the impact of business decisions on P&L; Understanding of CAS and FAR regulations with the ability to decide appropriate action for routine contractual and financial reporting based on interpretation of FAR and CAS. Understanding of accounts receivable and collection cycles with the ability to exercise cash management techniques. Preferred Skills: Ability to prepare/review pricing with recommendations for Management; Hyperion/ESSBASE/SmartView/Oracle experience; Ability to analyze, interpret and compile information from a variety of sources; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables).
