Software Developer Applications (SME)

Job Functions

• Provide high-level expertise in developing complex SharePoint 2016 applications, SharePoint Online (SPO) applications, SharePoint migration tasks as well as other platforms
• Define functional requirements based on business needs
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation
• Provide user support on technical issues

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of SharePoint development experience
• minimum of 3 years working in an agile software development environment
• Demonstrated experience transitioning an agency or customer from SharePoint to Microsoft 365 or another software platform
• Proficiency in SharePoint 2016 and SPO development
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying SharePoint solutions
• Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for client-side development
• Knowledge of SharePoint Server Object Model and SharePoint REST API
• Experience configuring and customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows
• Understanding of SharePoint authentication methods and security principles
• Experience with SharePoint migration projects from older versions to SharePoint 2016 or SPO
• Familiarity with SharePoint administration tasks such as user management, permissions, and content management

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and debug SharePoint solutions effectively
• Proficient in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and jQuery
• Knowledge of modern web development frameworks and tools (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest SharePoint development trends and best practices
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions

Education / Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, natural science, mathematics, engineering, or any related discipline
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must be able to obtain a position of public trust with the US Government
