Seneca Family of Agencies is Hiring a Program Supervisor - Mental Health Near San Jose, CA

The Program Supervisor for Santa Clara County RISE manages and supervises program staff. This role is responsible for knowing and being capable of fulfilling all job duties of supervisees. The Program Supervisor provides direct support to supervisees, oversees the quality and tracking of all services and documentation, trains and onboards new staff, ensures program coverage, and is an integral part of the management team.As Program Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations of the RISEprogram and hold the overarching vision of Seneca. It is the responsibility of the Supervisor to ensure fidelity to the RISE service model, while ensuring the voice and goals of client and families.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Santa Clara County RISEis a partnership between Santa Clara County Probation Department, Santa Clara Behavioral Health and Seneca Family of Agencies. The short-term goal of RISE is to provide evidence-driven assessment, planning, linkage and treatment services to support referred clients and their families to meet the terms of their probation, address mental health, education, substance abuse, social service’s needs, and exit probation successfully. The long-term goal of RISE is to reduce client recidivism, increase client psychosocial functioning, and increase community safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the following personnel functions: interviewing, hiring, supervision, training, and evaluation
  • Learn, know and be able to train/coach their program’s model and hold their supervisees to the model
  • Create and maintain supervisees’ schedules for providing direct care/support for children and families
  • Support the team with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion issues that impact their supervisees’ own professional development and those of the families receiving services
  • Ensure that all supervisees are submitting accurate and timely paperwork related to the services being provided to children and families and relevant to their role
  • Provide initial and ongoing training, coaching, and support to all supervisees regarding all areas of their job and responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly individual supervision of staff
  • Facilitate team meetings for all members of that supervisor’s team
  • Work with the Management Team to coordinate ongoing staff trainings
  • Maintain flexible schedule with ability to work evenings as needed
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response training. This may include intervening with the clients' behavioral program through physical management of the clients, if applicable. Training in additional crisis intervention modalities may be required

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related subject area
    • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and enforcement of competent mental health practice standards
  • Willing to respond to crisis situations (as needed) and be part of a rotating emergency on-call system
  • Commitment to engage in self-evaluation as well as organizational goal-setting, strategies, and systemic practices regarding diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other state or federal requirements
  • Valid Washington Driver’s License and insurability by Seneca's automobile insurance carrier
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

PREFERRED

  • Experience in the mental health field, preferably in family-focused, community-based programs
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • Experience implementing family-focused services, preferred 

SKILL OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Good organizational and writing skills
  • Ability to work as part of and supervise a multidisciplinary team

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Requires flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Hybrid: Required travel to our downtown San Jose office as needed for staff training and clinical supervision

Benefits

  • Starting salary at $91,875- $105,875 annually
    • As of July 7th, this starting range will increase to $94,631 - $108,631
  • Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
  • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
