Job Description
JOB TITLE : Field Services Supervisor (FSS)
PAY RATE : $22.00 / HOUR
GENERAL : A GardaWorld Security FSS must represent GardaWorld's four Core Values of Integrity, Truth, Vigilance, and Respect while performing the following duties:
GardaWorld FSSs are responsible for working directly with the MSS, CSM, Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop schedules, manage schedules, fill open shifts and oversee the Special Response and Flex Officers. They are an operational employee of the company responsible for inspections, training, scheduling, delivery of uniforms and equipment. They must be knowledgeable of all company and client policies as well as contract specifications. Additionally, when the situation dictates the FSS will work posts. MAINTAIN CONTACTABILITY AND MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY IN SCHEDULING. UNDERSTANDING OF REQUIREMENTS TO COVER AN OPEN POST DUE TO EMERGENCIES.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
The FSS will typically report directly to a Manager of Security Services (MSS) or Client Services Manager (CSM).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Staff Management:
•Communicate staffing needs to branch office; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing and hiring quality candidates.
•Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from appropriate Support employees, as required).
•Assure communication of policies, company announcements and job openings through a consistently updated read or pass on file at each site.
•Provides the basis of a great place to work by treating staff with respect.
•Cultivate a culture of engagement among the workforce
Enforcement of Contract Standards: responsible for ensuring contract standards are met, including but not limited to the following:
•Meet all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime.
•Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client-specific training, and annual refresher training for security personnel, as well as meet GardaWorld's corporate training standards.
•Conduct regular (not less frequently than once every other month) unannounced inspections and audits including off-hour visits for all responsible locations. Submit documented reports, in electronic format, on all inspections to evidence supervision requirements.
•Utilize inspections as a tool for further training, testing and review.
•Be responsible for assigned account(s) and security personnel seven days a week. Although supervision is in place, all after-hour contacts must be responded to promptly.
•Ensure that all incidents involving the client facility and/or its employees, visitors or contractors are thoroughly investigated and properly documented.
•Maintain and provide daily activity reports from each security officer assigned to the customer facilities.
•Maintain and provide incident reports, which will be completed and filed for the types of events or occurrences designated by the customer.
Client Relations
•Provide a high standard of customer service through professional and courteous inter-action with all customers (external/internal) visitors, contractors and management.
•This position may require some traveling out of state to address specific client needs.
Human Capital Management:
•Enforce GardaWorld Security policies as outlined by the handbooks and executive memos.
Financial Management
•Maintain and provide weekly time record of hours worked by all GardaWorld Security assigned to the facilities utilizing the GardaWorld scheduling and system.
•Control Non-Billable Overtime (NBOT) to a goal of 2.5% or less.
PERFORMANCE METRIC TARGETS:
•(2.5%) or less of Non-Billed Overtime
•(0) Workers Compensation Claims
•(98%) or better Payroll/Billing Accuracy
•(95%) or better Employee Retention
•Ensure 100% of contract service hours are covered by qualified personnel
•Personnel inspections and IQA or other designated training of 100% of assigned personnel each month
•Personnel recruiting to ensure full staffing levels on assigned accounts
•Personally recruit a minimum of one new supervisor for the branch annually
•Develop a minimum of one SRO for promotion annually
•Become proficient in all software systems (on-boarding, scheduling, financial)
•100% compliance to the GardaWorld Mandatory Requirements
•Lead by example of living up to the GardaWorld Values
