About Our College

Galveston College is a comprehensive community college located on Galveston Island, just 40 miles south of Houston, Texas. Our College provides the citizens of Galveston Island and the surrounding region with academic, workforce development, continuing education, and community service programs. We serve an ethnically diverse population of approximately 2,400 students each semester in credit programs and nearly 5,000 individuals annually in continuing education programs. Job Highlights

Regularly attend assigned STEM class, meet with professor weekly to discuss topics covered, prepare for weekly sessions, conduct full 60 minute sessions of assigned sections throughout the term, collect attendance, check in with Program Coordinator on progress.

Required Qualifications

* Enrolled in Galveston College.

* Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, made an "A" in the course related to Supplemental Instructor application or current enrollment in the course.

* Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Highly dependable.

* Interested in working with small groups.

* Possesses great customer service, time management, and organizational skills, desire and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

* Overall 3.5 GPA or higher.

* Faculty reference(s) in course area related to Supplemental Instructor application.
