This entry-level attorney role is responsible for legal research, drafting, contract, and litigation matter support. This individual is a detail-oriented, hardworking, business-minded attorney who embraces supporting both CareCloud's and their own professional growth, in collaboration with the company’s global in-house attorneys. Experience in the healthcare technology sector is a plus. The right candidate for this position has a Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an ABA-accredited law school and is admitted to practice in at least one state, preferably New Jersey and/or Florida. This role is Bonus Eligible.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management and AvoidanceInterface with customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders in order to explain the company’s position, broker an amicable resolution of disputes and avoid litigation where possible Support pre-litigation dispute resolution and ensure necessary records and information are maintained to protect the company’s interests in the event of litigationCollaborate with global legal team, prepare, review and/or revise all pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement agreementsRepresent the company in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials as directed Contracts and DraftingPrepare and negotiate agreements with clients, employees, independent contractors, vendors, and partnersDraft and update the company’s policies, procedures, and SOPs Corporate Governance and Regulatory ReportingAssist in preparation and review of company public disclosures, including press releases, annual reports to shareholders, earnings releases, and analyst presentationsAssist in enterprise-wide risk management process to ensure compliance with applicable laws Miscellaneous Legal Services Support protection of trademark, copyright and trade secrets, and perform/oversee research related to intellectual property issues and assists in enforcement compliance Assist in the preparation and filing of visa applications to support the company’s operations Perform research and analysis on various legal issues affecting the corporation and its subsidiariesCoordinate and effectively communicate with other leaders and departments within the company to accomplish the legal department’s objectives Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong independent problem-solving skills and ability to focus on detailsHigh-level analytical and research skills requiredAbility to interact effectively with other employees, clients, management, and outside legal counsel Ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fact paced environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution Admitted to practice in at least one state, New Jersey or Florida Prior experience with commercial litigation or regulatory healthcare preferred Prior experience with healthcare / technology law preferred Strong computer background (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Work Location: In-office, 5 days per week – This role is based at our headquarters location in Somerset, New Jersey, or in our Miami, Florida office.
