As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. *Requirements: *
* *NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) as long as you are RRT eligible and actively pursuing registry.*
* *Current license by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy (ASBRT) *
* *At least one year of clinical experience in respiratory care.*
* *Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certifications*
*About the Job:*
* Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.
* Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
* Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and ghttps://www.chs.net/serving-communities/locations/#USMapeneral care areas.
* Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.
* Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
* Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
