**Exciting opportunity to join our Johns Creek team at 10945 State Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022.**

**$800 sign on bonus eligible for this position if starting in January 2022.**

**Patient Representative: Patient check in, insurance verification, collection of co-pays and balances, various other front office duties.**

**Lab Tech: Evaluate rapid test results, assist the nurses/providers in relaying those results to patients, various other admin duties.**

Scheduling is tentative 8A.M. 8P.M. 3-4 shifts for full time and 2-3 shifts for part time a week on a floating schedule. Weekends and some holidays are required.

**Patient Service Representative Job Description**

The Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact between the patient and clinical staff. The front office position plays a vital role of ensuring & exceeding the expectations of the patient with the Piedmont Urgent Care experience.

**Responsibilities**

Greet patients and provide instructions to all visitors in a polite and professional manner

Analyze health insurance benefits, verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information regarding payment policies and billing/collection processes

Determine and collect each patients financial responsibility

Document Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions

Perform clerical tasks and adhere to established policies and procedures

Assist the practice manager and other staff as required

Provide overall support for office operations

Understand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirements

Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality

Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties

Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance

Maintain the readiness of the reception area

May be asked to travel to other nearby Piedmont Urgent Care locations to support the staff

**Minimum Qualifications** High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting. Urgent care experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination. Certification & experience as a medical assistant a plus, but not required.

**Required Skills** Excellent customer service skills Well organized and able to function in a fast paced high volume environment Basic knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology Documentation skills and attention to detail Effective communication and interaction with employers, patients, providers and other colleagues Ability to use tack and diplomacy appropriate to situation. Must have working knowledge of ICD-10 CPT Ability to work with staff members at all levels of the organization in a cooperative, team oriented manner Must be able to be mobile and work various positions (standing, sitting, bending, walking) for extended periods of time Maintain, safe, secure, and healthy work environment Ability to participate in initial and ongoing training as required Conduct business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, cooperative, sensitive, respectful, and kind dealing with patients, visitors, the public and all colleagues Energetic team player Piedmont Urgent Care is committed to providing the highest quality patient and customer care.
