Job Summary
DEFINITION
Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, operates a school bus or transportation vehicle over designated routes within an established time schedule; transports students to and from school and on special events trips; performs daily inspections of a bus or transportation equipment; and performs other related duties as assigned and/or required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicants must submit the following to apply:

*A valid California School Bus Driver's Special Certificate issued by the DMV;
*Verification of a current First Aid Certificate issued by the American Red Cross;
*Valid Class B California Driver's License with a passengers endorsement;
*Two (2) Letter's of Recommendation. All letters MUST be SIGNED and DATED within the last two years (typed signatures will not be accepted);
*A Resume.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
One year of paid experience in the transportation of school children, or the completion of a school bus driver training program.

EDUCATION:
Verification of High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree is required at time of employment.

FOREIGN TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION
Individuals who have completed course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts/degrees, prior to applying for a position, and attach a copy to the application electronically. The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto Unified School District website, in order to be accepted. These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.

Note: To obtain examination credits, veterans must electronically attach a copy of a DD214 (proof of service and/or disability) verification to the application.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle; a valid Class B California Driver's License with a passenger endorsement; a valid California School Bus Driver's Special Certificate issued by the DMV. Interested applicants must furnish a current driver K-4 DMV Printout dated (within last 30 days) prior to the interview process.
