Job Description:
•Performing routine maintenance, repair and replacement of various systems and equipment throughout and around the building
•Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
•Working on repairing/replacing non-energized electrical components
•Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
•Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
•Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
•Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
•Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
•Groundskeeping if the facility contains outdoor areas in need of maintenance
•Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
•Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
•Complete maintenance and repairs related to the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other equipment, systems, or component as needed/required
•Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks, or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains
•Performs routine non-energized electrical repairs on such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures
•Changes filters of commercial HVAC equipment and other basic HVAC maintenance as needed
•Changes out ceiling and carpet tiles and repairs hinges and hardware on facility doors
Paint, drywall along with repair and Patch
•Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building and Escorts contractors and vendors
Qualifications:
At least 5 years related experience.
High school diploma/GED is preferred.
Must be 18 years or older.
