Summary/Objective
The maintenance mechanic position conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.
Essential Functions

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs of production equipment. 
• Maintain Preventative Maintenance records
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Communicate with vendors and oversee contractors working onsite
• Fabrication, welding and cutting
• Some overtime hours as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• • Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• • Ability to occasionally bend, squat and/or stoop.
• • Frequently works near or around moving mechanical parts.
• • Exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• • Exposed to airborne particles.
• • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
• Must take a pre-employment drug test and a background check to be considered for the position.
• Drug test and background check will be performed.

Required Experience 2 years of related experience in production machines.
