Job Responsibilities:
- The Staff Support Coordinator ensures adequate staff coverage at all Community Living Division residential sites.
- Work with Human Resources (HR) Training Manager to coordinate and maintain staff training records as well as register staff for training.
- Scheduling for approximately 100 Employees
- Assists in coordinating the Van Pool schedule.
- Shall attend client staffing as needed. He/she is also expected to attend Managers and Staff Meetings as required.
- Completes bi-weekly work schedules for assigned sites. Ensures adequate staff coverage for all shifts and makes necessary arrangements for coverage including but not limited to during staff illness, holidays, vacations, and personal leave. Distribute schedules as directed.
- Where required, will ensure only staff authorized by RN to administer medication as scheduled.
- Coordinates on-the-job training for all staff in assigned locations and substitute staff as needed. This training shall include but is not limited to procedures, observation of clients, and specific instruction in shift duties and responsibilities.
- Coordinates and maintains training records for all staff, in assigned locations, classrooms, and in-service training in cooperation with the Director, Community Living Managers, and HR Training Manager.
- Coordinates Van Pool scheduling for assigned locations.
- Works a minimum of one evening per week for contact with staff otherwise not available during day hours. Weekend hours may be required at times.
- Provides direct service to clients as needed.
- Will maintain contact as necessary with the Support Services Manager, Housing Advocate, Benefits Specialist, and Health Services staff.
- Shall consult with the Director of Program Services regarding proposed changes in programs, policies, schedules, and procedures and implement such changes when approved.
- Shall attend all in-service training sessions to expand his/her knowledge of the individual with developmental disabilities, current modes of treatment, and special topics.
- Shall be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director which are consistent with the job duties and responsibilities.
- Participate in CLS or Agency committees as assigned.
- Shall supervise and train all substitute staff.
