Join a community of growth where you will be supported and where your work makes a difference.As our LPN, you will provide medication administration, medication ordering and organization. You will provide assessments related to episodic and chronic health conditions to the student population as assigned. Essential Job Functions:Medication administration for 2 shifts 7am-3pm and 1pm-9pm daily 7 days a week. Shifts available are day shifts, evening shifts or day/evening rotations. Every other weekend is required Provide g-tube feedsProvides basic nursing care including ADL’s, lifts/transfers, body-charts, etcDirect care staff training and support ADLs/providing direct care, lifts/transfers, body-charts, etcSupport with triaging minor health related considerationsPart of the student emergency response teamHealth Services clinic support (vital signs, injections)Liaison between cottages and program nursesParticipates in the nursing on-call service covering evenings, weekends and holidaysAdheres to health services policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies; ensuring quality of services meets appropriate nursing standards of care.Performs other related duties and task as assigned.CompetenciesAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, correspondence and effectively present information; Ability to respond to questions from groups, family or advocatesExcellent communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, family advocates and the general publicMaintain current BLS CPR and Safety CareRegular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including inclement weather situations.Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needsProficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.Excellent organization and time management skills.Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals.Able to Safety Care as necessary, including non violent crisis intervention.Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize activities with specific attention to higher level strategies while ensuring that details are also effectively addressed.Knowledge of Massachusetts regulatory standards is required with preferred experience in regulatory compliance with standards from Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Department of Public Health (DPH)Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirements.Education and/or ExperienceLicensed practical nurse, two years’ experience preferred. Long term care facility, hospital or SNFF experience requiredProficiency in Google Proficient in electronic medical records and electronic medication administration
