WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Inpatient Surgical 3 South
- Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
- Documentation of patient care.
- Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
- Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
- Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
- Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
- Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
- A 27-bed post op/orthopedic unit.
- Preferred High School Diploma/GED
- Nursing student after having completed 1st semester of clinicals Preferred
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Required or Prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization Required or After completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) - Franciscan will provide BCLS training and recertification as needed.
