Grade: T26The link below will give you information about the University's "T" salary structure.A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.Learn more about the "T" salary structure.The Center for Obesity Research and Education (CORE) in the College of Public Health at Temple University is seeking up to two part-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to work on a National Institutes of Health-funded study that aims to assess the relative effectiveness of an RN-delivered behavioral sleep intervention in pediatric primary care. The RNs will be responsible for the delivery of an intervention to enhance school-aged children's sleep duration. Prior to working with families, the hired RNs will receive general training in behavioral interventions as well as specific training in the intervention itself. The RNs will participate in weekly supervision meetings with the Principal Investigator, will help coordinate study communication between the referring pediatricians and the research team, and will work with the project director to ensure accurate study related documentation and assessment completion.Essential functions: Must first complete general training in behavioral interventions and specific training in the behavioral sleep intervention. Competency in intervention delivery must be demonstrated prior to being able to work with families; Responsible for the delivery of a behavioral intervention to approximately 25 families to enhance school-aged children's sleep duration. There is a treatment manual that needs to be followed as well as a set number of sessions to be delivered (two via zoom and four brief phone follow-ups); Intervention sessions with families must be audio recorded so that they can be reviewed and coded to ensure the intervention is delivered as intended; Attend weekly supervision with the Principal Investigator to discuss questions/concerns regarding intervention delivery; Additional Responsibilities: The RN will also be asked to help coordinate activities between referring pediatricians and the research team. This includes helping to screen families for eligibility, entering information regarding contacts with families into a secure data capture system (i.e., REDCap), and coordinating with the project director so she can schedule the research-related assessments (which the research team will complete); Performs other related duties as assigned.At Temple, you will find it easy to fit in while staying true to yourself.
