About the team

For this MTSS Coordinator position, you'll be working for our high school in Wilmington, Delaware called Freire Charter School Wilmington (8th-12th Grade): Freire is all about Graduation x 2 – graduation from high school and from college. We challenge our students to achieve higher than they ever have before, and we give them the support they need to get there, including individualized college counseling. The Class of 2023 received acceptances into 81 unique colleges and universities and more than $10M in scholarship award offers. This success is possible because the Freire Wilmington community is a true family, where students and teachers work together to build the future each student wants and deserves.

As the MTSS Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in implementing the school's MTSS program, with a specific focus on ensuring the right systems are in place for attendance. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff, to ensure effective and equitable support for all students.

• Monitor fidelity of implementation and progress of MTSS interventions for school-wide attendance needs.
• Participate in professional development. Our Freire teachers engage in monthly staff-wide professional development and regular coaching and mentor support.
• Identify areas of student need through data analysis, with additional data sought as needed.
• Develop and maintain a data management system to track student progress and program effectiveness.

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Knowledge of and experience with implementing evidence-based interventions in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Positive attitude, sense of humor, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get a job done
• At least 2 years of previous successful experience working with diverse student populations in a school setting
