Freeman Law, PLLC is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Frisco, TX
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, managing cases, preparing for hearings and trial, scheduling, maintaining case files, preparing and reviewing exhibits, and completing other paralegal tasks.
Our firm engages in a significant number of tax-related litigation cases, white-collar defense and sophisticated civil litigation. Experience in one or more areas is preferred.
Applicants must have strong analytical skills and be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment. Applicants must have multiple years of experience in the litigation context and must enjoy a fast-paced environment. Applicants must also be adaptable and willing to learn new systems and processes used by the firm and its attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Legal fact and legal research
- Preparation of case files, exhibits, affidavits
- Analysis of case documents, witness statements, and related assistance with factual development and investigations
- Assist with case management
- Organize and electronically file pleadings
- Organize client files and litigation records
- Oversee and coordinate discovery productions and reviews
- Assist attorneys with correspondence
- Coordinate and schedule calendars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Ability to work overtime
- Experience in subject matter is a plus, but not required
