We are currently seeking a dynamic Structural Department Lead to join our highly skilled Engineering team. Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Structural Department Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our organization. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing the Structural Department, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
2. Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
3. Developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the department in line with the company's goals.
4. Reviewing and approving structural designs, calculations, and plans, ensuring they comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
5. Collaborating with other department leads, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
6. Continuously monitoring and assessing the performance of the department, implementing improvements as necessary.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve department operations and project outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher will be highly regarded.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the engineering industry, with a proven track record of managing successful teams and projects.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in working with concrete, wood, and masonry.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
8. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
