We're in search of a Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team in California. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities :

As a Special Education Teacher, you will :

• Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Deliver personalized instruction tailored to each student's unique requirements.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Continuously assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as necessary.
• Promote not only academic growth but also social and emotional development.
• Manage case responsibilities, including organizing and documenting IEP meetings.
• Ensure strict compliance with California SPED regulations and guidelines.

Educational Requirements :

To qualify for this role, you should have :

• A Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred).
• An Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Early Childhood Education.
• An EL / CLAD Authorization (which may be embedded in your credential).

California SPED Certifications :

You must hold an active California state certification in Special Education to be considered for this position.

Position Details :

• Class Size : The class size averages 8-10 students.
• Teaching Models : You will teach both a morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) model.
