Frederick Health is Hiring a Physician Recruiter - Full-time with Benefits Near Frederick, MD

The Provider and Physician Recruiter & Retention supports, and handles incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
This position handles recruiting physicians and advanced providers to meet the organizations recruitment and strategic goals working closely with the candidates and hiring managers. Actively involved in the leader/physician recruitment process from the time a position is opened through the successful retention of leader/physician. Positively represents the organization in all interactions with diplomacy, tact, and a professional demeanor.
Example of Essential Functions:
• Maintains the database of all approved provider positions to include position status, FTE level, locations, etc. Ensures all open positions are part of the active recruitment process. Maintains updated and accurate recruitment database for active and former candidate tracking.
• Works with leadership to determine appropriate recruitment avenues to engage and with Human Resources, outside recruitment firms, etc. to ensure effective position postings and details.
• Manages all aspects of the provider recruitment process from first contact with prospective providers through on-boarding. Follows organizations recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal and economic considerations.
• Conducts telephone screening interviews using excellent listening and questioning skills during the process to build applicant interest and determine candidate fit with position, behavioral expectations, and salary expectations. Writes up a brief summary of candidate information not documented in their C.V. and presents to leadership and stakeholders for consideration. Utilizes established forms to forward candidate through the recruitment process.
• Works closely with Medical Group leadership team, appropriate system leaders, and clinical stakeholders to arrange virtual and onsite interviews.
• Schedules all virtual and onsite interviews with leaders and stakeholders. Prepares itineraries, assists or makes all travel and lunch and dinner arrangements, keeping all parties informed of all plans.
• Collects and tabulates candidate evaluations from leaders and stakeholders and submits along with CV and makes recommendation of proceeding with hiring process, seeking additional information or not proceeding with candidate.
• Maintains in depth working knowledge and understanding of physician’s specialties, as well as national trends affecting them and healthcare organizations. Identifies opportunities for marketing development based on the quality of candidates. Recognizes locations and specialties that are difficult to recruit. Coordinates with marketing staff to develop and implement changes that align with recruitment strategy to ensure a qualified candidate pool.
• Prepares offer letters for approval of Executive Director or VP FHMG and coordinates all notifications and correspondence with candidate
• Attends recruitment meetings with hiring authorities to provide updates on current recruitment activity and to strategize on hard-to-recruit-for positions and upcoming recruitments.
• Engages to plan, implement, and continually evaluate recruitment policies, procedures, and processes. Constantly seeks opportunities to improve and streamline processes and procedures.
• Possesses an executive presence by exhibiting energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and courage. Builds and maintains credibility and trust through visibility, including effectively communicating with and influencing a variety of audiences.
• Drafts offers and contracts for providers using approved templates, follows the contracting process workflow in detail and appropriately discusses all variations with VP’s Human Resources, Compliance and FHMG.
• Is involved in the contract renewal process with provider and leadership.
• Ensures all documents related to provider contracts are maintained in the contracting system (Symplr/Meditract)
• Ensures the offer/contracting process is monitored and efficiently moved along through signatory and activation phases
• Able to run necessary reports in the system upon request.
• Initiates and manages the oversight of the complete onboarding process to ensure complete and timely onboarding to include:
• Initiating the onboarding workflow in Teams with required information
• Maintains updates on medical staff credentialing status, payer enrollment and HR requirements to ensure start date kept
• Follows workflows for malpractice screening and application processes to ensure active and appropriate liability insurance in place at start
• Sends notifications of newly hired providers to appropriate areas
• Coordinates with marketing, HR, FHMG staff for NEO scheduling
• Maintains regular communication with the provider on status and works with FHMG leadership if start date change needed.
• Upon notification of a provider change in status (FTE, location, etc.) or termination, initiates the workflows to ensure communication to all relevant areas regarding date and change of status
• Ensures that change or offboarding process is complete to include HR, IT, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Requires superb negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Demonstrates advanced ability to obtain and retain employees in competitive recruiting environment. Able to conceptualize, envision and plan based on experience and knowledge of the executive/physician market.
• Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to speak professionally to small or large groups and senior leadership.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public relations, marketing or related field preferred
• 5 years of executive, leader and/or physician recruitment experience
