The Adair Lab (https://research.fredhutch.org/adair/en.html), within the Translational Science & Therapeutics Division, focuses on using a combination of cell biology, molecular biology, chemistry, engineering, nanomedicine and bioinformatics to develop new gene therapy treatments for many different diseases. In particular, the lab is interested in developing safe, cost-effective, and clinically relevant applications. Specifically, we work on fine-tuning the DNA sequences of blood stem cells to treat genetic disorders, HIV, and various types of cancers.
The Adair lab is seeking a highly motivated and curious Laboratory Technician I to work on a project testing if gene therapy interventions have the potential to diminish blood stem cell fitness or viability due to antiviral responses. Candidates must be enrolled in a genomics sciences program and have experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, and proteomics analyses. The successful candidate will work under the close guidance of the Principal Investigator and other lab members to accomplish the goals of the laboratory.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $26.73 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
