Woman Hospital is Hiring a Manager - Decision Support/Financial Analytics - Full-Time Near Baton Rouge, LA

Oversees and leads decision support, data analytics, operational reporting, budgeting, costing, productivity, and other financial analysis reporting. The manager will work closely with operations, leadership team, peers from other applications, technical teams, and hospital staff, to drive internal and external operational solutions.

The Decision Support/Financial Analytics Manager supervises the team responsible for the development and production of analytics and reporting that will help drive operational and business improvements. Responsible for the decision support and financial analytics teams, with overall responsibility for the direction, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of the department. Responsible for organization, prioritization, and structure of workload. Must have a passion for change and identifying better ways to do things. Must be an effective communicator and independent worker who will be an industry leader in changing how data and analytics is configured, delivered, and supported.

Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or healthcare related degree.
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience with 3 years of relevant experience in finance and operational analytics or healthcare accounting.
  • This position requires hands-on knowledge of healthcare related systems. Strong knowledge of costing systems, management reporting tools, and other database development tools. General knowledge of accounting and financial reporting is required. Requires management skills, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of hospital information flow and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive decision support and financial analytics strategy aligned with the hospital’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Manages prioritization of resources to achieve organization’s desired goals and personally works with users hospital-wide to define and clarify deliverables.
  • Monitors project statuses to ensure timely completion and provides on-gong active communication with internal customers.
  • Manages training of users, internal customers and stakeholders on understanding and interpreting data reports utilizing reporting formats that are easily understandable to stakeholders.
  • Oversees financial and capital budgeting process to include development of budgets and on-going variance analysis processes and reporting. Works with stakeholders to ensure accountability.
  • Oversees productivity reporting system, ensuring a timely and accurate flow of information. Works with stakeholders to provide tools that assist with day-to-day management of staffing across the organization.
  • Ensures proper build and maintenance of the organization’s management reporting tool to include: data validation, report writing, variance analysis, business reviews with leaders, and other related activities.

Pay Range: 

Salary/Exempt Position

$84,400 - $130,000
