Data Scientist
As part of this team, you will leverage computational sciences to enhance our drug discovery processes. This role involves developing machine learning models, contributing to bioinformatics software, and supporting robust experimental design and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and document machine learning tools and models.
- Contribute to both proprietary and open-source software projects.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all developments in version-controlled systems.
- Present research findings and progress at R&D meetings.
- Assist in designing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct independent research and provide scientific leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- PhD with 0-3 years, or BS/MS with 5-7 years of experience in Biological Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience in 'omics data analysis and machine learning model deployment.
- Proficiency in Python, Git, Bash, and data visualization tools.
- Experience analyzing 'omics data (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.)
Preferred:
- Experience with deep learning (PyTorch), probabilistic programming (Pyro), and Python package development.
- Familiarity with Rust, web development, bioinformatics pipelines, CI/CD, and AWS infrastructure management.
- 2 years of experience developing deep learning models, preferably with PyTorch
- Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar
