Location:

This position is hybrid and candidate will be required to be onsite in San Diego, as needed. Typically, on-site work will be 2 days per week.

This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.

Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000 per year

Job Description:

• Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.
• Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
• The ideal candidate would, along with regular tasking, research and proactively propose solutions that meet the demands of the warfighter. There are always new problems to solve and new, innovative ways to solve them!

Required qualifications:

• Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM field and four (4) years relevant work experience, or 8 years relevant experience.
• 5 years demonstrated experience with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Demonstrated experience developing software on non-Windows operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or macOS.
• Demonstrated experience developing with Gradle, Maven, or other relevant build tools.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience developing and testing Spring boot applications.
• Experience developing and testing Angular or Vue applications.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Helm.
• Experience with advanced container orchestration tools such as OpenShift, Rancher, or equivalent.
