Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic Controls Assistant Project Manager to join our progressive team in Orange, CA. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in building automation controls and a strong desire to apply their project management skills within commercial environments. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and proficiency in AutoCAD. A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, offering a unique opportunity for professional growth and involvement in significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the entire lifecycle of building automation control projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams on the installation, servicing, and programming of control systems across diverse commercial environments.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop detailed project designs and schematics, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control system integration and functionality.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of all project activities, ensuring compliance with industry practices and client requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, consistently exceeding their expectations and enhancing project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building automation controls, with a proven track record in project management.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Tridium, Niagara, or N4 controls platforms is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective team collaboration and client interactions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
