WHAT DOES A NURSE AIDE DO?

  • Provide patient care (dressing, bathing, eating, supervision, recreation) in accordance with nursing Plan of Care
  • Provide care in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation including addressing patient’s/client’s progress.
  • Assist in the transport of patients.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

  • Anyone who is interested in entering the healthcare field and HAS NO EXPERIENCE but has always been interested in starting a healthcare career.
  • Anyone who HAS WORKED/IS WORKING in a healthcare facility in another department and is interested in transitioning into a more direct patient care type of role.
  • Anyone who HAS EXPERIENCE with direct patient care in another capacity/setting and is seeking to take that next step in their career possibly as a nurse aide (examples: Personal Care Aide, PCA, Home Health Aides, HHA, Patient Care Technician, PCT, etc.)
  • Anyone who ONCE WORKED AS A CNA or other certified healthcare worker who's certification has since EXPIRED and would like to get back into the healthcare setting.
  • Anyone who COMPLETED the online TNA certification program and holds their TNA but has NOT WORKED as a TNA yet.
  • Anyone who HAS THEIR TNA certificate and has experience working as a TNA.
  • Anyone who has trained to become a CNA but has not yet passed the Certification Exam
