Senior Software Engineer
Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 (annual)
Location: Denver, CO
Position Summary:
The Senior Back End Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our platform's server-side logic, database management, and infrastructure. With a deep understanding of back-end technologies and architecture, this individual will lead by example, architecting scalable solutions, improving system performance, and ensuring high levels of security and data protection. This is a role for a creative and experienced engineer who is passionate about building robust, efficient, and scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities:

• System Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable back-end architecture to support our platform's growing needs.
• Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for various components of the platform's back-end.
• Database Management: Design and manage database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity and security.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Security: Implement and maintain security protocols and data protection measures.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices and innovative thinking.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in back-end development, with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-traffic applications.

• 2 years of experience micro engineering in Golang
• Deep understanding of server, network, and hosting environments.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Postgres
• Recent experience in the IoT space
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and GCP
• Experience working for a startup
