In this role you will: The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a perioperative registered nurse who functions in an expanded role, working in collaboration with the surgeon and health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Intraoperatively, the RNFA practices at the direction of the surgeon and does not concurrently function as a scrub nurse. Acts as a member of the Perioperative Team and is a subject matter expert with respect to perioperative patient care and associated safe surgical nursing practice. Embraces Florida Orthopaedic Institute code of conduct and displays a professional bearing during the performance of role responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute All other duties as assigned. About You: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the State of Florida. Completion of an AORN RNFA based core curriculum or a recognized RN Surgical First Assistant Program Displays appropriate knowledge, judgment and skills specific to the expanded role of RN Surgical First Assistant Clinical practice required Must be BLS & ACLS certified At FOI our goal is to provide our patients with world-class orthopedic care.
