Position: Field Operations Intern 

Duration: Summer 2024, 3 months 

Compensation: Paid Internship, $25/hr

Internship Overview: 

We are seeking a motivated Operations Intern to join our team for a 3 month summer internship. This role will be immersed in our operation, learning all of our processes by doing the work, and documenting and memorializing processes. You will gain a fundamental understanding the day-to-day operations of a startup organization, how decisions are made, how we pivot quickly based on real time data, and what goes into successfully fulfilling customer orders. This internship will also help you experience documenting processes, suggesting process improvement changes, and ultimately improving the operation as a whole to be more efficient.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform all site tasks related to operations. This includes washing and cleaning vehicles, moving vehicles around the lot, delivering vehicles to new members, triaging service issues using our systems, and processing new inbound units that we order. 

• Support the operations team in conducting first-hand research by conducting processes, analyzing processes, and then memorializing a finalized product in an easily scalable and shareable way. 

• Collaborate with General Managers to streamline processes and improve efficiency. 

• Assist in coordinating logistics for deliveries, off-lot repairs, and infleets/defleets. 

• Provide general administrative support to the operations team as needed. 

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements. 

• Other duties as assigned by management. 

What Drive’s Success for This Role:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 

• Eagerness to work in ever-changing conditions on simple and complex processes. 

• Ability to work both with a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to get your hands dirty, and be involved with every facet of the business. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

• Prior internship or work experience in a professional setting is a plus, but not required.
