This position involves production planning and scheduling AND Inventory Control. Must have manufacturing expereince.

• Manages Requests for Proposals (RFP), specifications, long term agreements and Blanket Orders for corporate products and services.
• Communicate orders and delivery schedule, and maintain good supplier relations.
• Coordinate purchasing for engineering functions.
• Coordinate the procurement of material and services necessary to support the manufacturing schedule.
• Issue and approve purchase orders as required to procure production related material as well as items required for maintenance, repair, facility operations, engineering, and MRO.
• Ensures material delivery requirements to support production.
• Coordinate supplier returns and replacement of non-conforming material.

• Additional duties include managing inventory, tracking orders, resolving issues concerning price disputes, and making bids for a vendors services.

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Report writing skills.
• Strong math, analytical and organizational skills are essential for the success of buyer.
• Experience using JD Edwards manufacturing software preferred.
• Understands supply chain concepts
• High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree in Business or related field strongly preferred.
