Position Summary
The position of Receptionist is responsible for appropriately handling all incoming telephone calls through the switchboard, greeting customers as they walk into the bank lobby and providing clerical support to administration and department operations. An effective working relationship with administration and frontline staff is also required to ensure a smooth delivery of all services to customers (either telephonically or in person).
The position of Relationship Banker is responsible for processing all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services; cross-selling the Bank's products and services; opening, maintaining and closing of all account types. Performing branch clerical duties; promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The position of Relationship Banker is also required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of safe deposit (if applicable) and basic branch operation functions, and is required to assist in the cross-training of less experienced branch staff members who also open new accounts.
This position also assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Duties
Duties performed by the Receptionist include:

1. Greeting customers with the highest regard for professionalism as they walk into the bank
2. Answering incoming calls promptly and directing the call to the appropriate person or department
3. Taking messages accurately for personnel as directed
4. Presenting a friendly yet professional image to customers both over the telephone and in person
5. Assisting personnel with duties as assigned. Those assigned duties may include but are not limited to sorting, logging, dispersing incoming mail; preparing incoming and outgoing correspondence letters; recording information on internal logs; recording and filing official notices; updating excel spreadsheets and reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
knowledge of personal computers and computer software for word processing and spreadsheets is required. Knowledge of switchboard operations is preferred. This job requires the ability to meet established deadlines, work productively in groups and individually, communicate effectively in writing and orally, operate standard office equipment, work extended hours occasionally, and travel to various bank locations and training activities as needed.
