$20-$25 DOE Urgent: Medical Assistant w/ Phlebotomy Exp.
We are looking for an experienced medical assistant with phlebotomy experience. This position is 32 hours a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 am to 5 pm.Thursdays and weekends off. This is a busy single-physician practice. Rooming patients, vitals, updating patient information, relaying chief complaints, triaging phone calls, charing, calling in and/or updating refill prescriptions, and performing various tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering telephones, preparing examination rooms, and focusing on patient comfort. Perform Phlebotomy procedures.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in patient care
• Provide direct care to patients, including assisting with procedures
• Perform exam preparation and take vitals
• Room patients and obtain information for patient care
• Prepare charts and handle prior authorizations
• Process lab reports and clean and stock examination rooms
• Handle prescription refills and perform Phlebotomy procedures
• Assist with referrals and other documentation requirements
• Assist with exams and patient triage calls
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be able to multitask and pay attention to detail
• Dependable and great with computers
• Professional and a team player
• Must be able to pass criminal background checks, drug screen, and reference checks
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply
