You are a self-starter, with an eye for detail and nuance, and the ability to take projects from concept to implementation. About Field & Fork Network

Field & Fork Network is a fast-growing New York State food and farming non-profit organization that connects communities to innovative solutions that foster a sustainable food system. Our work focuses on four important areas: agriculture economic development, food access, youth development, and healthy neighborhoods. Food as medicine is an innovative approach to food access.

What am I going to do?

  • Work with Field & Fork Network’s Food Access team to develop and implement strategic plans for a produce prescription program, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Plan, execute and manage a produce prescription pilot project. Develop and implement program protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency. Monitor program outcomes and evaluate impact through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Stay informed about best practices, emerging trends, and evidence-based interventions in the field of food as medicine and produce prescription programs through relevant coalition engagement and research.
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, government agencies, food retailers and other key stakeholders to grow and enhance the program.
  • Work with the team to identify funding opportunities to support the sustainability and scalability of the produce prescription program. Assist in grant writing and reporting to increase funding for produce prescription program development.

The Skill Set

  • BS or BA degree required in an area such as public health, social sciences, or related fields.
  • 4 years of experience managing programs in a non-profit environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft 365.

information accessible; can tell the story behind the data; enables problem solving

by helping others to understand what the data is saying.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with health care networks and government agencies related to health, such as Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Master’s degree in public health.
  • Experience with nutrition incentive programs.

  • Compensation of $62,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience.
