Ferguson is Hiring a Buyer Associate Near St. Louis, MO

Ferguson is the largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the U.S. The company is also a major distributor of HVAC equipment, fire protection systems, waterworks and industrial products and services. Ferguson and its subsidiaries serve customers in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Ferguson Industrial has a position open for a Buyer servicing our customer, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. The associate will provide procurement expertise and customer service functions working onsite with a team at the customer’s location in St. Louis, MO.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities include:

· Developing customer relationships

· Executing purchasing orders

· Sourcing requested items

· Enhancing profit margins

· Reducing costs

· Expediting shipments

· Reconciling payables

· Negotiating payment terms

· Generating Lean opportunities

Requirements for the Buyer role are:

· Computer efficiency and knowledge

· Proven organization skills

· Problem solving proficiency

· Communication skills

· Strong customer service

· A positive attitude

· A great work ethic

Knowledge of MRO products is a plus but not required.
