Full-Time Package Handler/Parker

Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As a Package Handler you would unload freight from fleet vehicles, accurately sort freight, and load freight in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages:

• Monday-Friday, 9:00PM start
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• Starting wage: $18.50-$20.50 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unloads each package by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scans package barcode labels as unloaded for tracking purposes
• Sorts each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stacks freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Washes fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Assists with moving and parking company vehicles within the facility
• Performs light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
• Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
