Summary: 

Takes directions under the Lead Groundskeeper to preformday-to-day operation of grounds maintenance and other labor duties asassigned. Transferring from one task to another where demands require.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates mower and small engine equipment.
• Basic grounds activities to include weeding, trimming, landscaping, cleaning of parking areas and roads. 
• Able to use/operation of variety of hand and power tools and mechanical/trade/grounds tools and equipment.
• Assist in Set-up in various building and moving of equipment and furniture.
• Maintenance of all equipment used.
• Clean and maintain ditches, drains, perimeter fences. 
• Cutting dead trees and hedge trimming. 
• Must be able to read English and understand directions.
• Able to read and understand SDS information.
• Ability to work efficiently without close supervision.
• Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

Valid Driver’s Licenses

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
