Position Summary

The Manager oversees and manages the daily operation of the restaurant. This position is for people who are clean, organized, and truly care about serving 100% fantastic Fat Boy's food to our guests.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hires and trains restaurant staff.
• Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy.
• Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Ensures guest satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
• Handles guest issues, resolving issues in a positive and courteous manner.
• Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
• Enacts best practices in a timely and proactive manner.
• Controls Food & Beverage, Labor, and Supplies costs, maximizing profitability.
• Manages inventory and purchases food and other supplies with a focus on bottom line of the restaurant's P&L statement.
• Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
• Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance, schedules for service.
• Maintains cash accountability systems.
• Prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation requested by the Operating Partner / General Manager.
• Is able to assume the responsibilities of the Operating Partner / General Manager at times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

• Must be able to interact in a positive, friendly manner with others, with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
• Must have previous experience in the restaurant work environment, management experience is extremely helpful but not critical.
• Possess strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Possess excellent time management skills.
• Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, alcohol service standards, and other restaurant guidelines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Familiarity with utilizing restaurant systems, H/R, and other related software packages.

• Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
• Walk and carry objects less than 50 Lbs.
• Occasionally lift objects up to 50 Lbs.
• Work with and around hot cooking equipment.
• This is a work on location position, work from home not available.

Compensation

• Starting base pay range is $45,000 to $50,000 / year

Vacation

• Eligible for two weeks of annual paid vacation from date of hire, three weeks upon completing three years of service.

Performance Bonus

• Eligible for quarterly performance bonuses upon completion of the training program.
