We are seeking an Accountant ll for our Springfield, Oregon Finance Department!

The primary purpose: To maintain the integrity of the physical inventory, included its records and valuation.

Major Duties performed:

1. Coordinate and conduct physical inventories. Integrate inventory cycle counting into Farwest's standard processes.
2. Research and resolve inventory transactions to ensure accurate quantities and valuations.
3. Inventory cost accounting – run daily process, calculate and enter cost adjustments, review and research discrepancies.
4. Assist Accounting Department in month-end close and general ledger reporting activity.

Assist Controller and IT Department with reporting and analysis designed to inform branches of inventory issues and help them build controls to prevent them from occurring.

Other Duties:

1. Manage Steel Coil Warehouse – receiving, batching, and transfers.
2. Ensure inventory inter-org transactions, batches, and adjustments are accurate.
3. Create and update SOPs for training.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, technical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Experience with Oracle preferred
