PROJECT COORDINATOR / PROJECT ESTIMATOR

CIVIL AND CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

Primary Job Description:

1. Duties would include assisting the project managers and other co-workers in project estimating, planning, and problem-solving.
2. Responsible for preparing estimate worksheets and quantity takeoffs for various construction projects.
3. Read and understand construction documents, plans, and specifications.
4. Track awarded projects and prepare submittals and RFI's.
5. Issue purchase orders and track the procurement of materials.
6. Work with the Project Manager to issue subcontracts and payment schedules.
7. Assist in the development of detailed construction schedules and monitor various projects.
8. Assist the Project Manager in verifying quantities and collecting job reports.
9. Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and weekly project meetings.
10. Review productivity rates as estimated vs. actual project productivities.

Minimum experience preferred:

• 2 years of plan reading experience or secondary education in Estimating, Engineering or Construction Management
• Possess a working knowledge of Civil and / or Concrete Construction
• Possess the necessary verbal and written skills to interact with owners and clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Compensation:

The compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience

Must possess current valid driver's license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
