Central Health is Hiring a Director of Operations - Clinical Services (Hybrid in Austin TX) Near Austin, TX

Overview:
The Director of Clinical Services will serve as a dynamic and experienced professional to assist the Chief Medical Officer and Healthcare Delivery team in strategic alignment and advancement of clinical services. This pivotal role involves managing key initiatives both independently and in collaboration with key stakeholders. This position will oversee multiple administrative areas and teams within clinical medicine including but not limited to: The Medical Executive Board and its committees, onboarding, wellness and departmental administrative support. The Director of Clinical Services will work with operations and finance in the development, implementation and monitoring of business cases and budgets.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Supervises administrative leadership of the Medical Executive Board and its committees.
Supervises administrative leadership responsible for onboarding and wellness of new team members with a particular focus on retention.
Supervises executive administrative staff within clinical services.
Oversees multiple administrative areas and teams within clinical medicine and healthcare delivery.
Collaborates with key stakeholders including finance to prepare and oversee the department budget process and implementation.
Acts as a strategic member of clinical leadership team, assisting in decision-making and ensuring alignment with organizational goals in partnership with strategy, clinical services, healthcare delivery, network services, and analytics and reporting.
Oversees and drives critical projects, ensuring timely execution and successful implementation of key initiatives.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address challenges, find solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
Provides logistical support for efforts and special projects of the clinical department.
Works closely with clinical and operational leadership to optimize and advance initiatives within the clinical services department.
Collaborates with leadership and other team members, identifies and capitalizes on opportunities for synergy within the department, organization and community to drive advancement of strategic initiatives. Essential Functions
Under minimal supervision, provides direction for multiple complex and related committees, initiatives, work groups and projects to accomplish assigned objectives within scope and time requirements.
Effectively deploys change management techniques to improve program outcomes.
Develops and manages standardized reporting plans to communicate and act on MEB and other committee decisions. Provides reporting output and external-facing presentations related to MEB updates and activities as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to tactfully receive and deliver differing opinions at all levels to support innovative thinking and decision-making that considers multiple perspectives and drives work forward toward established goals.
• Provides leadership and coaching for staff assigned to projects or operational activities within assigned areas of responsibility.

• Facilitates consensus among divergent groups.
• Ability to develop credibility, establish rapport and maintain productive communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those internal and external to the organization in order to activate people to achieve meaningful results.
• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior leaders, MEB and committee members as well as external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree in healthcare or a related field - Required
 
Work Experience:
5 years of related work experience - Required
Demonstrated experience managing clinical projects and/or clinical operations - Required 
 
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or PgMP - Program Management Professional - Preferred
