Description:
Close-knit family owned practice and looking to add a prior authorization/insurance verification specialist to their team. Candidates in this role could be familiar with EPIC EMR to assist with needed to pull notes/charts from other providers offices.
The primary job duties for this position include:
- Faxing forms to insurance companies and uploading faxed records to payer portals for procedural prior auths
- Assisting with Casper reporting (drug monitoring system)
- Working with insurance companies on any denials/appeals that come through; setting up peer to peers
- Being proficient in payer portals across multiple payers to submit records and obtain authorizations prior to procedures
