Job Description:
Shift: Days 7 AM - 3:30 PM - every other weekend
Job Summary
The Radiographer, under the guidance of an Imaging Supervisor, performs diagnostic radiologic examinations;
assists physicians with radiologic procedures; prepares examinations for interpretation; maintains radiation
safety; and assists with maintaining supplies.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Job Qualifications
Education: Associate s degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school.
Licensure/Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Maintains
licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count
certification.
Experience: Previous staff radiographer experience preferred.
Job-related Skills: Working knowledge of computer programs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish working relationships with internal and external customers. Strong organization skills. Critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.

Essential Job Functions
4. Performs and documents diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider.
5. Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver.
6. Analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control purposes.
7. Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
8. Operates all radiographic equipment.
9. Operates all facility-based computer systems.
10. Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol.
11. Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
12. Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of radiography.
13. Participates in quality assurance activities as related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department.
Physical Capacity Demand
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
