The Facilities and Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities for the buildings and grounds at all PERRY proTECH locations, providing safe and clean conditions for all employees and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform general maintenance work and conduct repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned, including painting, patching, basic electrical (if certified), plumbing repairs, furniture repairs, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles, replacement of lighting, ballasts, cleaning of light fixtures, maintaining and/or replacing door hardware, etc.
• Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, install and maintain building structures and equipment, (e.g. roofs, floors, generators, compressors, HVAC, etc) in a safe manner, using various hand and power tools such as saws, drills, hammers, grinders, ladders, etc.
• Hang, patch, texture and paint sheetrock and drywall to cover, repair or create various finishes on framed, existing, or damaged walls using the various tools needed to complete the project
• Conduct physical inspections of facilities, premises, and common areas, noting items in need of maintenance and cleaning, and report these immediately with a plan of action to remedy the concern
• Ensure that emergency lighting, emergency exits, security cameras and other safety items are in good working order and in compliance with all company and state published guidelines
• Remove blockages to restroom/kitchen/breakroom facilities to restore the flow and drainage of wastewater and products using the appropriate tools as well as safe, authorized materials
• Identify and communicate updates on any outstanding issues on a daily basis
• Review project and task submission on a daily basis, confirming receipts and providing a timeline for completion
• Support PERRY proTECH management in determining needed work and costs associated to completion
• Determine when a project is beyond own expertise/certifications based on scope of work and helping to facilitate the proper resource for the work
• Assist in management of safety training and compliance
• Coordinate and assist with office and workspace relocations, including the transportation of goods/equipment and the physical movement of furniture, equipment, boxes, and materials as needed
• Support and assist various skilled trade personnel at a facility or complex in the performance and completion of their duties as needed and assigned
• Provide an exceptional level of quality service and respond to customers’ needs, questions, and concerns in an accurate, effective, and professional manner

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be in compliance with all Terms and Conditions outlined on the Subcontractor Agreement
• Must be able to utilize a ticketing system to track all tasks, status, timelines, and feedback to users
• Submit a monthly invoice for services rendered and miles driven
• Must be available on Tuesday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM to focus attention to PPT projects/meetings
• While scheduling and hours are determined by the contractor, tasks must be completed in a timely manner, following all safety rules and guidelines
• All hours over 30 worked in a week must be pre-approved by the COO
• Expenses over $50 must be pre-approved prior to purchases
• Maintain own tools and vehicles necessary to complete the assigned tasks

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Facilities and Maintenance Engineer must be able to travel to all PERRY proTECH locations in order to perform required maintenance repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical knowledge and skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical wiring, and carpentry
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
