Overview of Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide support to healthcare professionals in our hospital clinics. Your tasks will range from patient interviews and data collection to performing technical services under supervision. Adaptability is key as you may work across multiple specialty clinics.
- Record patient history and ensure all results are ready prior to appointments
- Ensure smooth patient flow, assist with form completion, and perform clinical duties
- Prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and maintain patient records
- Coordinate follow-up tests and referrals, handle administrative tasks
- Clean and restock exam rooms, transport specimens to the lab
- Handle office procedures and act as a patient transporter
- Participate in safety meetings and communicate updates
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program or certification
Licenses/Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Medical Assistant certification/diploma required
- Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant
Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in a medical setting
