Your job opportunity:

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to help build our core platform to support the scale and complexity of our growing infrastructure. You’ll be a member of our growing Engineering team, contributing to our API development and helping to shape our processes and culture.This position has massive growth opportunities in the booming sector of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

You will:

• Enhance and extend current applications
• Build observable systems to be continuously improve and scalable and highly available systems
• Document the systems and processes, you help build
• Make high-level decisions that inspire and energize others
• Communicate persuasively with peers to inspire cooperation
• Break down ambiguous challenges and create scalable and highly-reliable tools and systems
• Bring your expertise in coding, architecting, researching, decision making, and process-building
• Influence both top-level strategy and specific technical decision making across the tech stack
• Provide technical leadership and expertise to a dynamic team of software engineers

You have:

• Extensive demonstrable JAVA skills and a track record of delivering on full development lifecycle.
• Comprehensive experience in developing APIs with Spring.
• Experience in a Tech Lead, Principal, or Staff Engineering role
• A track record of delivering on a full development lifecycle, especially in a high-growth environment
• Adept at shipping high-quality, well-tested code.
• Self-motivating, self-directing.
• A high degree of empathy.
• Passionate about healthy team culture and collaboration.

It’s a plus (optional):

• Electric vehicle infrastructure charging ecosystem experience.
• Experience with NoSQL, RDBMS or other alternative data storage technologies.
• OCPP, OCPI knowledge or other charging infrastructure protocols.
• Experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, and MongoDB.
