A Chicago-based, full-serviced accounting firm is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to its team. This is a client-facing role with a firm focused on assisting small-to-mid-sized companies and not-for-profit organizations.

Senior Tax Accountant Qualifications

• CPA preferred (CPA eligible or EA will be considered)
• 5 years of experience
• Experience working with not-for-profit organizations

Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for accuracy and completeness, including income tax returns for individuals, non-profits, and other entities.
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings.
• Contribute to developing long-term tax strategies aligned with the organization's goals, considering potential risks and opportunities.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning to stay current regarding applicable strategies.
• Maintain a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
• Work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business.
