Central Health is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Operations Manager (Hybrid in Austin TX) Near Austin, TX

Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee Revenue Cycle operational projects and initiatives across of Central Health's service areas that support its goal of creating a comprehensive, highly coordinated system of care for identified vulnerable populations in Travis County. Responsibilities for this position include daily operations, oversight, operational planning and oversight of staff. Service areas and programs may include primary care, specialty care, transitions of care, post-acute, EPIC integration, training or others and may include support of other relevant projects. Responsibilities include research of best in class Revenue Cycle operations, optimization of revenue cycle processes, optimizing EMR/PM system (EPIC), gathering and interpreting data, developing and maintaining timelines, overseeing implementation of action plans, process improvement, project support, monitoring of budgets, contract oversight, and serving as a strategic partner within the team. Responsible for working with the Revenue Cycle management team to ensure the daily activities of the revenue cycle functions including but not limited to registration, coding, billing, collections, cash posting, and account receivables and developing a cohesive team that work together to solve issues within the various areas of responsibility. This position will report to the Director of Revenue Cycle and will work closely with clinical providers, operations, medical management, EPIC analysts and the analytics department as well as clinical and operations leadership. This position overtime may have responsibility of staff within Revenue Cycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the activities of the revenue cycle department are conducted in a manner that is consistent with organizational expectations and in compliance with federal, state and payer regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates, coordinates and develops with appropriate stakeholders, examples include administrative leadership, clinical leadership, EPIC analysts/trainers and providers, regarding all revenue cycle processes - registration, billing, cash management, coding, and clinical documentation - for existing and/or new clinical services, service lines, and payers.
  • Provide support for multiple, complex and related services, initiatives, and projects to maximize overall benefit and alignment to strategic program objectives.
  • Analyze and recommend changes in workflow processes and procedures while ensuring patient satisfaction, quality, financial stability, revenue cycle, and team productivity.
  • Ensures department is functioning well as a team:
    • Aids and/or leads in the recruitment and hiring of new staff;
    • Provides, oversees and /or coordinates the provision of training for new and existing staff;
    • Develops and formulates performance measures and standards for the team/team member, as a basis for conducting annual performance management reviews;
    • Evaluates staff performance and recommends promotions and disciplinary actions;
    • Identifies, analyzes, and facilitates resolution of any issues which are a barrier to the team achieving its goals;
    • Plays a vital role in the success of employee communication by keeping both staff and administration informed of any changes, ideas, concerns, etc.;
    • Analyzes the resources (staffing, equipment, technology, etc.) available to the department and when appropriate, recommends changes to improve efficiencies.
  • Oversee ongoing operations by:
    • Developing knowledge about what and how services are delivered on a day-to-day basis;
    • Developing knowledge about what and how services are integrated with revenue cycle
    • Developing expertise in EMR/PM system EPIC;
    • Monitoring data to optimize efficiency, effectiveness and appropriate utilization;
    • Actively supporting service area planning;
    • Actively supporting compliance and regulations of Revenue Cycle;
    • Supporting in the management of budgets and contracts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle operations relative to quality, cost and experience using dashboards and KPIs. Benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Exhibit compassion, vulnerability, and empathy when working with employees and patients and advancing Central Healths health equity and DEI goals.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of related experience required.

-OR-

  • Master's Degree with 1 year of related experience required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of work related experience with a Bachelors degree

-OR-

  • 1 year of work related experience with a Master's degree Required

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • EPIC certifications highly preferred.
